Challenging the Myths That Limit

The biggest obstacle that people have who want to be active and athletic into their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond, are problems stemming from how they use their bodies (which includes posture, structure, relaxation skills, mind/body integration, muscle balance and resiliency, and ability to tap both innate and external energy sources). All of these can be corrected or learned, and in doing so a person can transform not only their relationship to their own body, but also reset the limits that their minds have regarding what they can and cannot do (even seemingly permanent medical diagnosis. There are so many stories that are miraculous on this account). Anyone who grasps the power of the basics of proper body use and dynamics can become one of these miracles.

Most of the pain and injury people get when trying to become active or upgrade the level of their activity is the result of one or a combination of the foundation principles of correct body use missing or partially learned. Unfortunately as injuries reoccur with increased efforts, the limits around what one can do becomes a fixed limit in their minds only because they haven’t been exposed to these basic principles and how to implement the learning process.

People feel empowered by the learning that happens. By mastering the use of the body they can take charge of pains that previously they were victimized by. That they can get off the "medical need cycle" if that is where they find themselves.  Or they can redefine the limits of their activity and general feeling of well-being.

People learn that their bodies (even bodies that are getting older) have an amazing capacity for endurance, strength and resiliency.
