About Douglas Wisoff

Douglas Wisoff Bio | Radiant Running Philosophy

Douglas has combined a training in traditional sports medicine with a comprehensive study of current holistic approaches to the body, healing, and movement. The focus of his work has been the development of innovative and personalized methods that establish a process of positive change in posture, structure, and form – and the way people view and use their bodies. (See Radiant Running Philosophy to learn more.)

In addition to applying his methods to a wide field of activities, twelve years of intensive endurance training and racing has given him an understanding of the specific problems associated with running. Out of this he has developed a system of sports movement that has a significant impact on injury rehabilitation, injury prevention, form efficiency and performance.

In his private practice and in workshops he has helped hundreds of athletes of all levels and ages to overcome body based injury and performance limitations. This is achieved by helping people to contact, concentrate and focus their healing energies through a unique blend of movement, body use and mental focus. This approach has had success in a wide range of clinical applications, rehabilitating many orthopedic injuries as well as structurally related health problems such as arthritis, indigestion, learning disabilities, exercised induced asthma, and balance.
